I love this serial, have followed it closely since the first. Although at that place is quite a bit of a time gap between books, so much so that I feared this would never come out, the books are great! Good little mysteries for teens and fun-loving adults.

I only finished reading this volume ten minutes ago. It was so practiced!! I love this series and this was probably the best ane yet! The best Sammy volume still. Practiced mystery, fun new characters, and realistic developments in the Sammy/Casey romance. I wish these books had been effectually when I was that age.

This is 1 of the meliorate Sammy Keyes books that I have read. I enjoyed the setting, the somewhat kooky new friends, and the possibility of romance for Sammy.

The writing was fun and fresh, and hilarious! The primary grapheme is instantly lovable, every bit are her friends. The mystery is pretty fun, too. I volition definitely be looking to read more of these books.

Afterward finishing this book, I was reminded why this was my favorite volume so far from this series. Information technology was admittedly hilarious and funny and sweet. Besides, the absence of Heather for the majority of the volume made this a less stressful book and I'g glad Lady Lana was not in it as well.
I only want to highlight some of my favorite scenes in this:
#1: When Casey and Baton bumped into Sammy and Cricket in the forest
#2: When Casey stock-still up Sammy's feet and blisters
#3: When Casey didn't want to cuss in After finishing this volume, I was reminded why this was my favorite book so far from this series. It was absolutely hilarious and funny and sweet. Besides, the absence of Heather for the majority of the book made this a less stressful book and I'yard glad Lady Lana was not in it also.
I just want to highlight some of my favorite scenes in this:
#1: When Casey and Billy bumped into Sammy and Cricket in the forest
#2: When Casey fixed upward Sammy's feet and blisters
#3: When Casey didn't want to cuss in front end of his crush aka Sammy
#4: When it was only Billy, Casey, and Sammy around the campsite fire and Billy shared his snake with his bro (Casey) and his bro'southward crush and Sammy was sharing Casey's jacket to go on warm which means she was existent close and snuggling up to him if you retrieve about it

#6: The friendship between Casey, Sammy, Gary, and Cricket (they were seriously crawly together and I liked how Gary became more than involved in Cricket's life again)
#vii: Sammy FINALLY telling Casey the truth about her living state of affairs because now he understands her manner better and doesn't accept to wonder if she'due south just brushing him off when she avoids him or ends her phone calls abruptly
#8: when Casey hUGGED SAMMY FROM Behind AND RESTED HIS Head ON HER SHOULDER WHEN THEY WERE WATCHING THE CONDORS Wing OFF ( I AM STILL FREAKING OUT Almost THIS Because SOOOOOOOOO CUUUUTTTEEEEEE )

I hope that nosotros will still see Cricket in the upcoming books but I take a feeling we wont. I just really liked her and Gary and wouldn't mind seeing more of them.
Also, (view spoiler)[ The Borschman and Debra being on vacation at the same time was in no style a coincidence!! And so THEY GOT TOGETHER?!?!? HOW CUTE! I'k just sorry we haven't seen him as much especially now that he's nice and all (hibernate spoiler)]

I listened to this while waiting for other audiobooks to become available. I enjoy that Sammy grows upwards a scrap in each of her adventures. I also enjoy that Van Draanen embeds social issues into each of these novels. In this one, we are introduced to new characters and acquire about the efforts to save the condor from extinction.
Oh my gods how many times can this author start the paragraph/sentence with the word "anyhow". Seven times in one single affiliate. Over thirty in this volume. My girl cringes each fourth dimension information technology's said, to the point that it'due south a consummate joke in our house. Oh, well, this series has been completed past this author, but they need to expand their vocabulary. This series makes me so nostalgic, I beloved information technology so much. It was literally 1 of my favorite book series from nigh 5th grade on wards. I love Sammy Keyes. She'due south brave and gutsy and feels about real camping nearly what I do: that it's dirty with too many bugs. I liked this mystery and it taught that a thunderbird is really a condor which was an amazing connexion for me.

When I was looking for a book with humor this was suggested but I did non know it was a juvenile book. I loved it. A fun book with a mystery involved and I learned some things virtually condors.
